USE A SUNSCREEN

Select a sunscreen with the correct SPF (Sunburn Protection Factor) for your skin type and level of tan when you are tanning outdoors. It is also critical to apply the correct amount of sunscreen to achieve the stated protection. The proper amount to use is 1 1/4 oz. (a full handful) for each adult full body application. If you use half the amount, you will cut your protection time in half (i.e. SPF 8 only gives 4 times more protection instead of 8 times). The sun inactivates the active ingredients in sunscreen products and they should be reapplied every 2 hours to achieve full effectiveness.

Sunscreen can be used indoors to protect sensitive body areas. However, in a controlled environment (indoors), we are able to control your exposure with decreased time rather than use of sunscreen.
